Since June 2023, we have organised Lectures with Dr Michaela Glöcker in a series of 5 Gatherings and Workshops, with the theme:
5-Doorways to Health & Healing
Michaela Glöcker has developed a unique approach to Biography Work over many years of research and practical experience.
We aim to introduce her approach to participants in our trainings, to our colleagues, and to an English-speaking audience, by organising five special events.
After each event, we document her approach in Study Guides, with direct access to her video-recorded Lectures. The 5 Parts of her approach are then available from our Web Shop.
These 5 events capture the 5 Parts of Michaela Glöckler’s Five Star Archetype for Biography Work.

The Quinta-Essentia in Michaela Glöckler’s Five-Star Model
In Michaela Glöckler’s Five-Star Archetype for Biography Work, the human being is approached through five aspects, each opening a doorway to health and healing. Four of these — the Physical-body, Etheric-body, Astral-body and I-organisation — describe how the human being takes hold of earthly existence. At their centre stands the fifth: the Quinta-Essentia. The name reaches back to Aristotle’s Pemptē Ousia — in Latin Quinta-Essentia, the Fifth Essence — the aether that, unlike the four earthly elements, is eternal, incorruptible and unchanging; Rudolf Steiner takes up the same term in GA227 (1923) /1 and GA35 (1908) /2. In Glöckler’s model (2022) /3 it names the purely spiritual core of the human being: not a further ‘body’, but the essential being from which Thinking, Feeling and Willing arise, and through which the ‘I’ integrates and heals the whole. Where the I-organisation is the earthly instrument of identity, the Quinta-Essentia points beyond it — to the supersensible capacities in which a person’s spiritual individuality lives, and through which the archetype is completed.
1/ GA227 (1923) Steiner recalls that in the Middle Ages there was talk of “a so-called quintessence, a fifth mode of being,” standing beside the four elements earth, water, air and fire. Link The German on the same page reads die sogenannte Quintessenz, die fünfte Wesenheit. Link
2/ GA35 (1908) In his treatment of Aristotle, Steiner holds that “it is the form which is the vital principle of things, and not matter,” and places the ‘I’ as the centre where form and matter coincide. Link
