This Learning Pack is the first of 2 that look at mental health issues and challenges through various lenses – lived experience, psychological understanding and strategies, clinical definitions, psychiatric considerations, and Anthroposophic medicine.
In this Learning Pack, you learn to recognise common mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and stress, and some strategies for managing these. You will also learn about the 4-fold relationship relates the organs, emotional and mental well-being, the temperaments and the elements. In the second Learning Pack, Mental Health Crisis and Spiritual Emergency, we look at more severe mental health issues, for example those that have psychotic features, and at the overlap with the spiritual experiences that may challenge individuals in our time.
Our ‘I’ is of central importance. This Spiritual part of us strives to balance inner and outer dynamic forces. How can we strengthen our ‘I’ function? One of our aims is to increase awareness of Salutogenesis – keeping well – and how the ‘I’ can assist with this. Strengthening our ‘I’ function increases our resilience.
Work through this Learning Pack, and you will understand more about mental health and well-being, and how to maintain it. You will also be able to prepare for small group sharing, either within our online sessions, or for personal or professional development within a Study group.
